Best Chinese Crested Grooming Tips
The Chinese Crested was carried by sailors from Africa to China and almost all other ports of call. Amateurs are found everywhere, but the race has never reached great popularity. It was exhibited in circuses and carnivals as a monster. This little dog has many qualities that go unrecognized.
The Chinese Crested is seen in two types. One is bald and the other is called Powderpuff type of a complete layer. The Powderpuff type is almost identical to the hairless except for the coat. Both crossed and are shown together.
Care of the Powderpuff coat is probably less demanding than the care of the skin type of hair. The Powderpuff is completely covered with long soft hair (referred to as a "Veil"). You'll need to brush their teeth and comb in hand and if bathroom to keep looking Powderpuff "Spiffy".
The hairless type requires moisturizing creams applied daily sunscreen for dogs with light skin and coat is needed in cool weather. Grooming procedure for the Powderpuff:
You'll need to brush the Powderpuff coat frequently with a bristle brush or pin.

Mats should be teased with the thumb and forefinger.
When all carpets are removed from working through the coat with a bristle brush or pin.
