My dog has a lot of matted hair between the pads on his feet. Should that be trimmed back occasionally?
Ok. I know that that’s a weird question, but my dog is an indoor, Lhasa Apso and a hairy one nonetheless.
I trim the hair inbetwen the pads of my Cavaliers feet. It prevents the toes from spreading and they don’t pick up as much mud or as many prickly things when you take them on walks.
I also have polished timber floors and cutting the hair stops them from slipping on the floor.
